Interior Design
This project comprises the tender interior design for six standard villa prototypes within the Saadiyat Island development, ranging across four, five and six-bedroom configurations at approximately 500 sqm each, with two colour palette variations developed for every villa type.
The concept begins with the coral reefs of the Arabian Gulf, abstracted into the language of interior space. Three principles govern the result: fluid form, tactile texture, and a palette drawn from water. Soft, sculptural volumes recall the rounded geometries of coral and shell, and full-height glazing carries each room toward the sea, sky and landscape beyond, so the setting becomes part of the architecture itself. The spaces are conceived as a sanctuary, calm and immersive in feel.
A warm neutral envelope of ivory, cream and sand carries the material strategy, layered with finishes that reward touch. Bouclé, linen-weave wall treatments, light oak and warm timber give the surfaces their depth, while rugs introduce a soft, watery movement underfoot. Pale metals and stone add a quiet sense of luxury, and a single accent of blue runs from soft powder to deep navy across textiles, art glass and artwork, carrying the water reference through every room. Form, texture and colour stay in balance throughout, which lets the quality of each material and the connection to nature define the interior.
